Thirunallar is a small yet spiritually significant town located in the Karaikal district of the Union Territory of Puducherry (enclave in Tamil Nadu). It is globally known for the Dharbaranyeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, where Shani Bhagavan (Lord Saturn) is enshrined in a prominent shrine within the temple complex.

This is the only temple in South India where Lord Shani is worshipped in such a significant role. Devotees visit Thirunallar to perform rituals and offer prayers to reduce the malefic effects of Shani (Saturn) during the Sade Sati or Shani Dasha period. Bathing in the sacred temple tank, Nala Theertham, is believed to wash away bad karma and bring relief from suffering.
